It's 150 years in the future and space exploration is a commerical enterprise. Pioneer teams are sent out to habitable planets to conduct in person research of the natural resources, and to set up working settlements for colonists to arrive. Many planets are simply mined for profit and others are colonised - space is now big business.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe planet Aether has rich biodiversity, an acceptable atmosphere for humans and slightly higher gravity than Earth. The Neuromantis is a highly intelligent creature with advanced hunting methods. To take down its prey, it can emit a frequency of soundwaves that disrupts animal brain patterns, therefore disorientating its target. Once in this confused stage, the Neuromantis can strike, grasping its prey in long boned fingers and injecting digestive enzymes into its body (much like the spiders from Earth).
