Creality has shared more information about its upcoming K3, a CoreXY FDM printer built around the company's KliTek nozzle-changing system. In a September 30, 2026 FAQ, Creality said preorders were planned for mid-October and that the printer was expected to launch below $900. Those were planned figures at the time of the FAQ; check Creality's current listing for final pricing and order status.
Four nozzles and multi-material printing
Creality says the K3 has four built-in spool slots and four nozzles, supporting four-color or multi-material jobs without the usual single-nozzle color purges. Its FAQ describes combining materials such as PLA, PETG, and TPU in one print. The company also reports a 4.8-second nozzle change and testing across more than 800,000 changes. These are manufacturer claims rather than independent test results.
The idea is different from systems that feed several filaments through one hotend: separate nozzles can make material transitions cleaner, but they add mechanical complexity and still require calibration, compatible profiles, and careful material choices.
What to watch next
For miniature makers, the most relevant questions will be fine-detail performance, support cleanup, material compatibility, and whether the workflow saves enough time to justify the price. The K3 is a filament printer; resin remains a common choice for tiny facial and surface details.
