Nexprint’s Make It Real Challenge runs from September 10 through October 30, 2026, with the schedule listed in UTC. The event invites creators to develop a three-dimensional creation from an image, sketch, written concept or idea.
The official page lists a judging period of October 31–November 19 and a results announcement on November 20. Its first-place award is a $300 ELEGOO store gift card. Check the event page’s Contest Rules for the current entry requirements and full prize details before participating.
A small project idea for tabletop makers
For a hobby-scale project, consider designing a distinctive signpost for a fantasy crossroads or a service-yard marker for a sci-fi scene. Give it one readable feature: a large symbol, a damaged sign face or an unusual silhouette.
Begin with a sketch that shows the front and side. Then write down the intended footprint and place a paper version beside a miniature you already own. This is a quick way to see whether the idea will read clearly on your table before you spend time refining a digital model.
Keep a record of what changes between the sketch and the finished design. A thicker support, a simpler shape or more room around a base may make the project easier to build and use. This is our suggested design exercise, not a claim that a particular entry will qualify or win.
Planning a print with us
If your project leads to a custom-print inquiry, our custom 3D-print project checklist explains the details to prepare, including the file, intended size and quantity. Having a model file does not by itself confirm that it is printable or licensed for a commercial printing service; include those details when you contact us.
