ELEGOO announced on September 16 that Nexprint had launched three model generators the previous day: Vase Generator, Nameplate Generator, and Text & Image to 3D. The tools are accessed through Nexprint's Workshops area, with exports intended for slicing and printing. Read ELEGOO's announcement.
What the tools offer
- Vase Generator: adjustable profiles and cross sections for vases and hollow forms, with controls such as height and twist.
- Nameplate Generator: a layout-based tool for combining a base with text, shapes, and SVG graphics.
- Text & Image to 3D: an AI tool that generates a model from a written description or reference image, with adjustments available before export.
Those are the capabilities described by ELEGOO; we haven't tested the generators or verified the quality of their output.
A few tabletop ideas to explore
Our take: start with a small accessory that has one clear job. A character nameplate, a labeled display stand, or a sign for a campaign location could be a satisfying first experiment. Sketch the intended size on paper and decide where it will sit before spending time on decoration.
For an imaginative model, write a simple brief: what it represents, the important shapes, and how it should be viewed. Then compare the result with that brief. A convincing preview is one checkpoint; the exported model still needs to suit the intended print and use.
From idea to a physical piece
Before committing to a project, check the exported dimensions and inspect the file in your slicer. Use original ideas or material you're permitted to use, and check the platform's terms for your intended use.
These tools offer another route into making something personal for the hobby table. Visit Nexprint and consult the official launch details for access and features.
