Revopoint's Revo Scan 6.3.2 desktop update includes several tools for inspecting and editing scanned objects. The company's PC update notes are dated September 10, 2026; its download listings show September 8 for Windows and September 10 for macOS.
Three additions worth a look
- Two-point measurement: the release adds distance measurement between selected points on point clouds, meshes, textured models, and 3D Gaussian Splatting models.
- Local smoothing: a new Smooth Brush works on selected areas of a model.
- 3D mouse support: the update adds another way to manipulate the model view.
The release notes also describe changes to line-laser processing, including GPU-accelerated point-cloud merging and Smart Trim. Available workflows depend on the scanner and computer configuration, so check Revopoint's compatibility information for your setup.
Why this matters for a printing project
Our practical takeaway is to make inspection a deliberate step before printing a scan. Pick a recognizable dimension to check, examine any edited areas closely, and retain an untouched copy before experimenting. A cleaner-looking preview is only one part of evaluating a model for a physical project.
