October 7, 2026: Flashforge lists October 15 as the planned shipping date for the first 100 CJ270 printers, with that initial batch traveling by air. Its preorder timeline says later orders will follow in purchase order. This is a manufacturer schedule, so shipment timing remains subject to updates.
How the CJ270 approaches color
According to Flashforge, the CJ270 uses material jetting with UV curing and combines cyan, magenta, yellow, black, white, and clear resins. The company also specifies water-soluble support material and advertises a 7-micron layer thickness. These are manufacturer specifications, rather than results from a PrintedByAliens hands-on test.
What miniature makers can watch for
For tabletop creators, the interesting question is how fine details and color transitions look on small physical models. We would want to examine faces, narrow trim, and recessed details under ordinary room lighting, then compare the finished surface before and after support removal.
As customer samples emerge, useful evidence will include close-up photographs, preparation time, and the complete material cost of a finished piece. Those details will help explain where this approach fits alongside the painting workflows hobbyists already enjoy.
